A note to our nonprofit partners in 2022 and beyond:
Louisville foundations using Blackbaud Grantmaking software have joined together to implement shared applications and reports to help streamline and ease barriers to their grant processes. While the goal of this collaboration is to ensure expanded access and greater equity for grant seekers, it is important to note that each funder has their own guidelines, strategic priorities, timelines, and proposal review criteria. Participating funders may also request additional information at any stage during their application process. Based on limitations of the Blackbaud Grantmaking system, at this time, any interested nonprofit seeking funding must submit their application to their requested foundation(s) separately. However, the shared commitment is to continue to improve this process, and learn from others to create stronger and more effective partnerships within our community. The following funders are collaborating in this process:
C.E. and S. Foundation
James Graham Brown Foundation
Jewish Heritage Fund for Excellence
The Norton Foundation is pleased to collaborate with its foundation colleagues and has recently modified its grant application and report forms in an effort to more closely align these documents with them, and to streamline the application and reporting processes. We hope that our nonprofit partners are pleased with the changes, and welcome any feedback they have on our new documents.
How to Apply:
All applicants should apply now. 2022 grant application deadlines are March 1 and October 3. Applications must be submitted by 11:59 p.m. on the deadline date.
Prior to applying, all applicants must communicate their request for funding in person, via telephone, or in writing (email) with the Executive Director. The purpose of this communication is to ensure that the application aligns with our mission. Contact us for information about applications.
In addition to standard organizational information, the application requires a complete project description and budgets. Please use this form to submit your project budget and fundraising plan. Once you have completed the form, you will upload it as an attachment to your application.
Organizations may apply once per calendar year. If an organization receives funding, a grant report must be completed the following year before an organization may reapply.
